  • About Randy

    Mangrove Cay, Andros, Bahamas

    Capt Randy

    4th Generation Bahamian

    Randy knows Andros!!

A quiet unassuming man whose superpowers are witnessed when he is in pursuit of the "Gray Ghost" of the flats.

Captain Randy comes from a long line of watermen. His father, pastor Michael Thompson along with his brothers have been living off of the ocean for 4 generations.. They harvest conch, snapper, sponges, as well as guide the waters and flats of Andros. His father insured that his sons had a healthy respect for the marine environment as a sustainable livelihood.

From October to June Mangrove Cay flats are bursting with water activities, so much in fact that the great bonefishing guides like Capt Randy are impossible to find on land without the aid of a ruthless cold front.

If you have a group, we have access to other terrific guides.
